 Almond Milk

1 1/2 cups of almonds
1 litre of filtered water (for soaking)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups of filtered water.

 - nut bag,
- large funnel
- bottle or jug for storing milk.

 1. Place almonds and 1 litre of soaking water in a jug and soak for about 6 - 8 hours, drain and discard soaking water.

2.  Rinse almonds then place them in a blender

3. Add the 4 cups of filtered water and vanilla essence, blend on low for 1 minute then on high for 1 minute.

4. Place funnel in bottle or jug then place nut bag over funnel (I put the corner of the bag pointing into the funnel) and pour the milk from the blender into nut bag as the bulk of milk has gone through you can squeeze the bottom of the nut bag to squeeze all milk through.

Notes:  The left over pulp you can reuse to make more milk (a bit more watery) or you can use it to make bliss balls or loafs, breads etc. I will post more recipes to use pulp
